WHY GOVERNOR DANKWAMBO IS UNSCHOLARLY AND UNDESERVING OF ACADEMIC HONOURS: A PAINFUL RESPONSE TO A PIECE OF TRASH CREDITED TO ABU-UBAIDAH IBRAHIM KUNA - Dio Oghale Emeka Rex (SAP, SANS, MOFR) Reporting from Campus Reporter Media

WHY GOVERNOR DANKWAMBO IS UNSCHOLARLY AND UNDESERVING OF ACADEMIC HONOURS: A PAINFUL RESPONSE TO A PIECE OF TRASH CREDITED TO ABU-UBAIDAH IBRAHIM KUNA

I and indeed the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) are deeply constrained to have to respond to a piece of empty, inelegant, grammatically flawed and poorly written rejoinder to my position on  the undeserving Honorary Doctorate Degree conferred on Gov Ibrahim Dankwambo by the Ekiti State University is undeserving. This so called rejoinder by Abu-Ubaidah Ibrahim Kuna which is at its best a piece of gibberish is the Gombe State Governor's official response to my factual position on the possibly purchased, political and fraudulent Honorary Degree, through Mr Abu-Ubaidah Ibrahim Kuna who is his Personal Assistant on New Media.

Of course, Mr Kuna started by expressing his frustration in being “compelled to react about the senseless, misguided and mischief story of the so called President of  NANS…” We understand you brother! It is stomach infrastructure. I know that Kuna was ordered to say something. Ordinarily, the young man was not ready and prepared. And his publication says it all.

It is therefore with excruciating pain that I am making this response to a stinking rubbish published in the name of a “big man”. The reason for this response is clearly in the interest of the good public who was fed with a hotchpotch of fat lies, deliberate misinformation and unappealing political jargons. We are not interested in the so called achievements of Mr Dankwambo in the educational sector. The day to interrogate that will come. Let me stick with the aborted National Convention of NANS in Gombe in July 2016 and where history places Mr Ibrahim Dankwambo for his unwarranted onslaught and damn right Satanism against his innocent
visitors (the leadership of Nigerian students nationwide). Kuna can be compelled to help his boss grandstand today. But Dankwambo will meet with his terrorism in his lifetime, and will sorely regret it.

My first point is that NANS declared Mr. Dankwabo a persona non grata on our campuses for terrorizing and unleashing monumental mayhem on hapless Nigerian students in a desperate attempt to impose one Chinonso Obasi on NANS. Thank  God that Kuna did not pretend about this. He said that the fugitive, fake and impostor, Chinonso is their own President; only in Gombe Government House. Even Chinonso’s State Government in Ebonyi which supported his aspiration to NANS presidency has accepted the outcome of the superior wish of the students. They do not recognise him as NANS anything because they know that to do so is immoral, indecent and will amount to a criminal conspiracy. But for Dankwambo and his stirrer Chief of Staff, there is no space for morality, decency and abhorrence of crime.

Consequently, the attempt by Kuna to defend and dress his boss in borrowed robes failed even before this response. So no amount of noise can vindicate Dankwambo and his Chief of Staff (the chief executor of the evil plot). They remain enemies of our genuine comrades and students. That position cannot change no matter how many honours procured or the quantum of balderdash pushed into the media space.

The second point is that we are told that Mr Dankwambo holds a PhD. Congratulations to him very sincerely. But I want Kuna to know that though PhDs and Honorary Doctorate Degrees are prestigious they can be bagged by idiots. So nobody in the NANS family is interested in that. They can go and tell the story of their governor's certificates to their local market women. In past, many failed politicians had procured these honors. That market is still very much alive. And let me reiterate that we will be on this matter till Mr Dankwambo returns the purchased and highly unmerited Honorary Doctorate Degree.

Finally, I wish to advise Mr Abu-Ubaidah Ibrahim Kuna to endeavor to return to school. He should, in doing so have the humility to start from JSS 1 where he can learn parts of speech, tenses and concord. This advice is in absolute good faith. It is embarrassing that a PhD holder Governor could hire the services of a man who is incapable of writing a coherent and grammatically decent (not even correct) piece to manage his new media structure. Anyway, I know that it is a poverty alleviation appointment. But I would suggest that next time such appointees should be in areas where they will not have any business with the public. In these days of environmental activism, the willful pollution of the public space is a big offence. The stench of the last pollution by Kuna has constituted s big problem to the social ecosystem. If the governor must speak, let those who know what to say and how to say it handle the speech.
