Campus Reporter Media - NANS ZONE D SOUTH WEST, GIVES COCA COLA 7DAYS ULTIMATUM TO COME OUT WITH AN EVIDENCE OF APOLOGY TO NIGERIAN FOR THE CLAIM OF THE LIVES OF SAME COUNTRY MEN

PRESS RELEASE FROM OFFICE OF DEPUTY COORDINATOR NANS ZONE D SOUTH WEST.

It is so disheartening that the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Nigeria through their act of callousness has send many Nigerians to the life beyond with the products that are being produced by them coupled with the negligence on the part of the government. It must be noted that for the past weeks, a lot of Nigerians have been killed by the products being produced by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company which is a pointer to the fact that the government is not responsive when it comes to human lives.

However, it is most embarrassing that the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) and the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has also failed to discharge their duties in securing the lives of Nigerians due to their inability to live up to expectation of their establishment. There is no gainsaying in the fact the government and its agencies are not responsive. In fact, the failure of the government to publicise and investigate the atrocities that the Coca-Cola Bottling Company has been committing which has claimed the lives of many Nigerians is an act by the government to sweep the case under the carpet.

It is on this note that we urge the National Assembly to as a matter of necessity and exigency safe the lives of Nigerians by summoning the DGs of NAFDAC and NBC for their irresponsibility. The National Assembly should in the interests of Nigerians slam a penalty on NBC given the toxicity in the drinks that was produced by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in avoiding future occurrence. The failure of both NAFDAC and NBC to find out the scope and the impact of the products that is being produced by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company as caused a negative health outcome on Nigerians which need to be addressed. Moreover, the NBC has failed to put in place proper measures so as to withdraw those poisons off the shelves, rather, the attitude that is being displayed by the NBC is that of non-challant. But, instead for the NBC executives to be running helter-skelter over the scandal, they've decided to do as if everything is alright as the expense of the lives of the people. The NAFDAC and NBC DGs must be prosecuted for negligence!

Also, we give the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Nigeria a 7-day ultimatum to come out with full statement apologising to Nigerians for taking the lives of our fellow countrymen for the poisons that is been put into their products. However, if the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Nigeria fail to do what has been requested from them, we as an organisation won't hesitate to shutdown their offices.

     Viva Aluta!!!

Signed:
Com.Saheed Afolabi SEEDORF
Deputy Coordinator
