The much-acclaimed king of sprint races finally retires from racing with his body seeming to catch up with him five years after he electrified the watching world at the same venue during the London 2012 Olympics.
Over the years, he has proved himself a legend as he consistently shaved off hundredths off seconds to maintain the record of being the world’s fastest man and waiting for rest of the world to play catch up but on the occasion of his final hurrah, he was bested into third place by Justin Gatlin (who was booed over the finish line) and Christian Coleman.
This takes nothing from the man larger than life picture, this generation is truly lucky to have witnessed the career of one of the greatest sportsmen ever.
