Few days ago, the Nigerian media was awash with stories and pictures of deadly twin bomb blast at University of Maiduguri, by two kid-suicide bombers, and which claimed the life of a professor and 3 others. However, while the whole nation shivered and continues to shiver at such dastardly act, it appears that, for the students of the foremost northeastern university, this is a daily reality which will not deter them from pursuing the various degrees for which they sought admission into the school.
According to Alutanews reporter who was on ground to cover the aftermath of the campus bomb-blast, the students have continued to live their normal school life. and every night since the deadly incident, students still gather outside the campus vicinity to read their books, undeterred, in preparation for their exam which was meant to commence this week.
Musa Atiku, an engineering student who spoke to Alutanews.com, had this to say, “this is our school, we cannot run away for them. We have to do our exams and graduate, and not even thousands of boko haram bombs can stop that”.
