Obafemi Awolowo university students have continued to enjoy light and water as
the Non Academic Staff Union of Universities began their one week
warning strike on Monday.
According to Akinboyeje Eric, a student of the department of civil
engineering, part two, who expressed delight as he enjoyed steady light and
water on campus on Monday, he is grateful to the entire NASU members,
OAU, Ile Ife, branch for their leniency by maintaining light and water supply in the school, despite embarking on strike.
Another part one student, Shittu Ibrahim, of education and political
science, also expressed his satisfaction over the light and water on campus.
He also said the students will appreciate it, if NASU can keep light
and water on campus throughout the strike. The union embarked on the one week warning strike due to failure of the authorities to honour demands for better welfare of their members.
